SME turnover for August 2026 came to approximately INR 6,007.9 crores, up 14.7% from July's INR 5,237.8 crores. Breadth stayed mildly negative for the month, with 270 symbols closing up against 289 down and 4 flat. New 52 week highs (35, verified) trailed new 52 week lows (57, verified), a real tilt to the downside. Here is the detail, based on insights from bhavcopydata.com.

New 52 week highs and new 52 week lows
Thirty five symbols touched a genuine new 52 week high this month, after we set aside two prints that did not reflect a real milestone. More on those below. Bikewo Green Tech Limited (BIKEWO) climbed from INR 65.10 to a fresh high near INR 110.30 by 18 August, almost entirely on a run of consecutive circuit days rather than one spike, before giving back part of the move and closing August at INR 101.95. Vivo Collab Solutions Ltd (VIVO) ran the same pattern, INR 81.20 to INR 160.00 through most of August on repeated upper circuit closes.
Fifty seven symbols touched a genuine new 52 week low, more than the highs. Teja Engineering Ind Ltd (TEJA) was the clearest case and a real reversal from last month. We flagged TEJA in July for tripling on a genuine rally. In August it gave nearly all of it back, sliding from INR 681.55 to INR 233.10 through a run of lower circuit closes between 21 and 31 August, a mirror image of the move we described a month ago.
Two prints that did not belong in the mover count
Credent Connect N Care Ltd (CREDENT) listed on 20 August and jumped 99.5% on its own debut, from an INR 189.00 reference price to an INR 377.05 close. Read as a monthly change against that reference, the stock looks up 85% for August, but a first trading day gap is not comparable to an established stock moving, so we are leaving CREDENT out of both the 52 week and most active by change framing this month, even though its INR 175.11 crores of turnover was real and lands it inside the top ten most traded names below.
A rights entitlement, SUN-RE, screened as one of the month's biggest fallers at negative 89.6%. Rights entitlements price off the economics of the parent company's rights issue rather than ordinary trading, and this one stopped trading on 28 August as its subscription window closed, the same treatment the site gave SUN-RE and RCDL-RE in earlier weekly posts. We are leaving it out of every mover figure here too. Neither CREDENT nor SUN-RE carries NSE's own corporate action flag on the relevant date, so this is a classification call about what the number represents, not a data correction.
Most active names this month
Anawil Wire and Engineering Ltd (ANAWIL) was the single most traded SME name of the month at INR 350.22 crores, up 49.54%. V Marc India Limited (VMARCIND) followed at INR 295.27 crores, up 29.31%, a normal trading month after the corporate action that had briefly excluded it from July's figures. Oriana Power Limited (ORIANA) traded INR 205.10 crores while falling 10.23%, the only decliner among the month's five most active names. Aimtron Electronics Ltd (AIMTRON) traded INR 179.09 crores, up 17.98%, and Flysbs Aviation Limited (FLYSBS) traded INR 175.71 crores, up 32.00%. CREDENT's debut turnover of INR 175.11 crores put it just behind FLYSBS by size alone, ahead of Obsc Perfection Limited (OBSCP) at INR 140.26 crores, up 32.28%, and Monolithisch India Ltd (MONOLITH) at INR 127.51 crores, up 37.22%. All eight trade in the regular SM series except CREDENT, which is in the ST series.
How turnover moved through the month
August turnover did not lean heavily toward the start or the end of the month. Most days stayed close to the same range, except for one big spike. The single busiest day was 10 August, at close to INR 404.5 crores, well ahead of every other session, which ranged between INR 207.5 crores and INR 369.7 crores. Anawil Wire and Engineering Ltd (ANAWIL) alone accounted for INR 120.87 crores of that day's turnover on a 28.19% gain, with V Marc India Limited (VMARCIND) adding another INR 34.43 crores, together close to 40% of the whole market's SME turnover that single day. The quietest stretch came late in the month, 27 and 28 August both closed near INR 207.5 crores, before turnover picked back up to INR 339.9 crores on the final trading day, 31 August.
