Futures turnover climbed to INR 896,514.4 crores for the week, short buildup outnumbered long buildup 393 contracts to 32, the Nifty 50 fell 1.26% to 22,600.0 and Bank Nifty fell 2.16% to 54,287.35, and HDFC Bank Limited (HDFCBANK) and Axis Bank Limited (AXISBANK) both fell more than 5% after anchoring the bullish camp in recent weeks.
Weekly NSE data wrap for 12 to 16 October 2026, a full five session week. All ten NIFTY IT tracking ETFs on the site rose between 11.36% and 14.03% together, led by the UTI NIFTY IT ETF (ITBETA). DelaPlex Limited (DELAPLEX) hit its upper price band on four of the five sessions and gained 82.59% for the week, while C K K Retail Mart Limited (CKKRETAIL) gained 50.38% on two straight days of upper circuits. Jump Trading Financial India Private Limited bought INR 306.95 crores of PC Jeweller Ltd (PCJEWELLER) in a single bulk trade on Friday, the week's largest single deal.
We ran hierarchical clustering with no category labels across 2.75 years of daily returns for 200 ETFs with long NSE trading histories using insights from bhavcopydata.com. The algorithm cleanly separated a cluster of 21 gold and silver funds, isolated the one ETF this site already flagged for an unexplained 89.6% move, and split the site's own International category into at least three distinct groups. This week, the Motilal Oswal Nasdaq Q-50 ETF (MONQ50) rose 30.46%, the Mirae Asset S&P 500 Top 50 ETF (MASPTOP50) rose 13.36% and the Mirae Asset NYSE FANG+ ETF (MAFANG) rose 15.66%. Exactly the cluster the algorithm had already grouped together. While the two Hang Seng linked International funds rose only 1.27% and 3.71%. The correlation between MONQ50 and MASPTOP50 also reached its highest sustained level in the full 2.75 years of data, a finding we checked against a rank based correlation test before trusting it.
We built a residual correlation detector across 227 actively traded SME stocks on bhavcopydata.com, tested all 25,651 pairs, and ran the two strongest results through a permutation test and a rank correlation check built to catch a false positive. One pair collapsed under rank correlation to something indistinguishable from noise. The other, M.V.K. Agro Food Products (MVKAGRO) and Polysil Irrigation Systems (POLYSIL), held up across fourteen months of rolling windows and a permutation test that never matched it once in two hundred trials.

India's 10 year yield kept climbing the whole time, to 6.96%, on a hawkish RBI and a fresh oil price shock of its own.
